How To Join

The Gold Standard

  • Controlled Updates: We currently vet all mods and configurations locally or during scheduled maintenance windows to ensure they meet our "Performance First" standards.

  • The Goal: A primary goal of our Founder’s Founders Legacy Pack is the acquisition of a dedicated Staging Server. Once funded, this testing playground will allow us to stress-test major expansions—like the Deep Delve—without ever touching the live game world.

  • Integrity First: If a feature isn't stable during local testing, it doesn't go live. I will always prioritize a smooth-running server over shiny features. No matter how cool and tempting they might be

The Philosophy: A great world requires a stable foundation. We don't believe in testing on the players. Wolf Ridge is built on the principle that your playtime is valuable and should never be interrupted by unstable experiments or rushed updates.

A Letter from the Founder

Wolf Ridge is a (mostly) solo-developed passion project born from a singular vision: to create an immersive, FUN, world heavily inspired by the progression and depth of games like Runescape and Skyrim.

I am building the world that I personally want to play in. I will actually be in the world regularly, playing right alongside you, experiencing the world that Hytale and Wolf Ridge have to offer.

Because I’m mostly the only one behind the scenes, you won't find layers of admin bureaucracy here. You’ll find a direct commitment to a world that feels alive. My focus is on respecting your time and your hardware as I feel is my personal responsibility to you. If you’re investing your time (and potentially your support) into my vision, the least I can do is provide a stable, high-performance foundation that lets you get lost in the journey.

Sustainability

Keeping the Lights On & The Blades Sharp

As a solo developer, I spend over 12 hours a day building, balancing, and developing this world. To ensure the server remains high-performance and continues to grow, I will eventually introduce a monetization model so players can directly support server development.

Every cent earned goes directly into the ecosystem:

  • Server Infrastructure: Upgrading hardware to ensure performance as the player base grows.

  • Custom Commissions: Funding professional artists for custom 3D models, unique boss NPCs, and hand-built capital cities.

  • Full-Time Development: Supporting my ability to work on this server as my full-time job, ensuring daily updates and active moderation.

While the core gameplay and endgame will always be free, the store will offer optional ways to support the project. Future perks include:

  • Membership Rank:

    • Additional Home Teleports (+2 /sethome slots).
