WolfRidge Roadmap: The Path to Orbis

  • Infrastructure: 21GB Dedicated RAM with 7,500-block world pre-generation, HyFixes for Vanilla patches, and a server Optimizer.

  • Security: Multi-layer off-site redundancy and daily snapshots.

  • Core: Core gameplay mechanics are in place and tested.

The Martial Path: Combat Refined

  • The Goal: A fully-flushed satisfying combat system.

  • Defensive Mastery: Use parrying and dodge rolls to keep yourself safe in combat!

  • Energy Management: Combat will rely on signature move energy and stamina management, making every strike a deliberate choice.

  • Unarmed Combat: Satisfying unarmed combat with grappling and kicks.

Status: Waiting on bug fixes from mod authors

The Engineering: Rather than rushing a buggy experience, I am currently holding off implementation until the necessary combat frameworks fix their bugs and add their final planned core features.

The Age of Expansion: Exploration & Rarity

Wolf Ridge is a living project. To ensure the 'Performance First' promise, features are released only when mods are fully optimized and stress-tested. We value stability over speed.

  • The Goal: Exploration that feels rewarding and personal.

  • A Complete Menagerie: A deep system of rare, collectible companions who only make their presence known to the most dedicated of adventurers.

  • Beyond the Trade: We are moving past standard "item-for-item" quests. We want our quests to tell the story of Wolf Ridge through branching narratives and complex objectives.

The Engineering: I am currently working with mod developers to ensure stability and bug fixes within the questing framework. In addition: I am working on pet implementations now and you should expect to see them soon.

The Great Expansion: Civilizing the Wilderness

Status: Urban Planning & Funding Acquisition

  • The Goal: Wolf Ridge will evolve from a single outpost into a network of thriving Player Hubs.

  • Centralization: To encourage players to gather, each major town will offer Exclusive Utility.

  • The Waystone Network: I will be designing a Robust Teleportation System to link these hubs.

  • The Overseers: Step into a world where server administration is woven into the story. The Guild serves as the architects and peacekeepers of the realm.

The Engineering: I am currently expanding the Prefab Library. Construction will begin once I finalize Creative Commissions, bringing professional builders into the fold to hand-craft the most iconic locations in Wolf Ridge.

Carving a Legacy: The Founders Pack

As we prepare for the Age of Expansion, I am now offering a limited number of Founder’s Legacy Packs. Thevproceeds go directly toward hiring professional Hytale builders to bring our major cities to life, and opening a dedicated test server.

Deep Delve: A Dungeoneering Experience

  • The Goal: Multi-tier, monster heavy dungeon crawls designed for party-based engagement.

  • Fluid Party System: A seamless party framework. Revive teammates and ensure loot is distributed fairly among the victors.

  • Diverse Environments: From claustrophobic catacombs to sprawling overworld ruins, I am curating multiple dungeon archetypes to ensure exploration never feels repetitive.

  • Repeatable Content: Once the loot4everyone mod implements their loot refreshing feature, I will be able to implement custom instanced loot to each overworld dungeon. I will also add a waystone outside each dungeon to allow players the ability to return easily after their first visit.

The Engineering: To maintain the "Performance First" promise, I am currently stress-testing overworld dungeons and instanced dungeons. I am waiting on the author of the party system mod to add instanced loot to ensure players cannot "snipe" ultra-rare loot from one another.
